1. Project Purpose & Educational Context
1795C.com has been created by Archie Durrant & Mete Tunca as a speculative creative response to a publicly issued brief set by HSBC for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2026. The official competition information and relevant documents are publicly available from D&AD:
- D&AD — New Blood Awards 2026
- HSBC — Brief for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2026 (PDF)
- D&AD New Blood Awards 2026 — Terms & Conditions (PDF)
Key, directly quoted provisions from the official Terms & Conditions (emphasis added):
“Entrants retain ownership of their Responses submitted into the contest…”
“Entrants may… include a submitted Response in their personal portfolio after the winners have been announced…”
“Entrants must not: Use sponsor branding on any other material or for any other purpose.”
“Upload their submitted Response to any online location before the winners have been announced… unless all sponsor branding is first removed…”
This project may be displayed publicly in a portfolio or educational context following the announcement of the D&AD New Blood Awards 2026 results, in accordance with the Terms & Conditions linked above.
In line with these rules, this Site is educational and non-commercial, and the use of sponsor branding is restricted to contextual demonstration only.
This Site exists exclusively for educational purposes, portfolio presentation, creative competition submission, and the demonstration of speculative brand strategy. In publishing this project we have sought to follow the D&AD Terms & Conditions quoted above (notably retaining authorship of our work and avoiding unauthorised commercial use of sponsor branding). Where sponsor branding from the brief appears in mockups it is used for contextual demonstration only and not for commercial promotion.
All concepts presented - including but not limited to "The Red Standard", "1795C Card", "Calibration Tunnels", "Red Vaults", and any described banking tiers or instruments - are entirely fictional, non-operational, and non-existent.
They cannot be applied for, purchased, accessed, or requested. This Site does not provide financial services.
Scope of Use
This project is intended solely for educational and portfolio purposes. No commercial use of any third-party branding is intended or permitted. Where sponsor branding appears, it is used solely for contextual demonstration related to the D&AD brief and not as an endorsement or commercial offering.
2. No Affiliation or Endorsement
